There are a lot of elk if your willing to get away from the roads and the atv's
I hiked about 6 miles off the road , was walking up a creek bottom trying to sneak up on another bull about a half mile off that was screaming his head off. when this bull came out of the creek bottom he kept turning away from me bugaling at the other bull. thought he would never turn broadside . He finally did and by now he was 200 yds He did the fastest bang flop that I ever seen a bull elk perform!
As far as the mackman name goes I work for Co. Dept of Transportation and when I plowed snow, yes it was a mack truck and I worked on it and then the state transfered me I moved to a town called MACK I am now a
signal technecian in the Grand Jct area .
My area is actually the western slope of CO.
