Kandace and I had hunted this particular "Very Dry" spot many times over the last year and never even had a chance for a shot. This particular area has been very frustrating to us as we would hike the area and find plenty of sign, but no pigs. We knew they were there, but we decided we needed to change tactics if we were to have any luck.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
We decided that we would wait for a few days of heavy rain, then get back in the area and sleep in a tent. <o

That day was last week, Before first light, we awoke to the thickest Fog I have seen in some time, You could see no more than 30 yards using a scope. I thought our plan was a "bust" but after all the effort so far, we grabbed our guns and headed out into the canyon, climbing one ridge after another. <o

After walking about 30 minutes, Kandace was hot and needed to take off her jacket, We stopped on a ridge near heavy cover where she then handed me her rifle and proceeded to remove her jacket. <o

It was not ten seconds later she thought she heard a pig "oink" and grabbed her rifle from my shoulder. I did not hear anything, but I got ready anyway and pointed my rifle into the thick fog. "Like something out of a movie" Several pigs walked out of the fog right toward us and they had no idea we were there! <o

We dropped 2 pigs at less than 25 yards! Both turned out to be Boars.<o
