So I'm getting ready to put in for the Colorado deer draw and I notice a few changes this year for the nonresident. Non residents get a bonus annual fishing license! Awesome! Great, now my over the counter bull elk tag went up $15! Now it's $601! Also nonresident cow tags went up $100 dollars! Yes you read it right $100!!! Now at $451! But you get that great fishing lic. I'll make sure I have my fishing pole handy when I'm up 10,000 feet, the temp is 8 degree's, and standing in two foot of snow and cast out my line to see if I get a bite, while I have my rifle in my other hand!
What a crock of Sh*t! They are sure bending the out of staters over! That is the main reason why my friends and I stopped hunting Idaho over 25 years ago. They think nonresidents are stupid and have an unlimited amount of money. Spoke to my buddies today and they all agree, especially how aweful the elk hunting has been in the area that we hunt over the years, mostly because when the shooting starts the elk pretty much head to private land with big herds and wranglers keeping them on that private land for the whole season, looks like only deer tags this year. That means between the five of us hunters not getting bull or cow elk tags , Colorado will be out around $2800. How about a box I can check that says I don't want a Fu*king fishing Lic. and save $15 on a bull tag and save $100 on a cow tag! Not to say that nonresident hunters don't fish in Co. But my guess is that nonresident elk and deer hunters that fish in Co. is in the single digits!
