It's been suggested we split the "Hot Topics, Politcs and Conservation" forum.

Do you guys and gals think Conservation should be here or have it's own forum? Land Management is basically conservation.

IMHO, "conservation" is the overarching category and Land Management and QDM are subsets of "conservation."  I guess it really depends on how you want to set it up.  Both topics could generate a lot of interest.  When I suggested the split, I thought that Politics and Hot Issues were drowning out "conservation."  That is my 2-cents on that subject.

I think the conservation issue would more suit this forum than where it is now.Of course QDM and Land management are a form of conservation. I think it would do well either way here or on its own. Flip a coin Jesse. HeHe.

QDM and Conservation in one forum and Hot topics and Politics in another sounds great to me.

QDM and Conservation go hand-in-hand to me.

Hot topics and Politics are one in the same to me.  The hotter the better.

I'd put the conservation in with the QDM and Land Management.

You'll get hot topicks and Political issues in just about any forum on this board, but I think the Conservation would fit nicely into this one and need not be set out on its on.

Oky, I'll rename the forums then and add conservation here.

Thanks everyone for your input.

In the ongoing debate between conservation efforts and human development, should we prioritize the rights and welfare of endangered species even if it means limiting resources for local communities? How do we balance the urgency of protecting biodiversity with the immediate needs of people living in those ecosystems?
