Does anyone have their correct email address? The one online does not work and I need to send them some information about an incident that happened last night.
I know Sonoma is public grounds, but why are people advertising it?? It is difficult enough to locate pigs there, why would anyone want more people showing up for such a relatively small area? I dont know about most of you, but when I go hunting it is to get away from people and to a have decent chance at just spotting game. I like this forum, but the downside is all of the attention these "secret" places get. Think about how nice it is now, the more and more people become aware, the more and more rules will be made and restricted access will happen. Im not down for that. But hey, what are you going to do? Just my opinion.
bob- that is exactly what I plan on doing, if you cannot obey the law, then it is your own fault
beastie - sorry if requsting contact information for Lake Sanoma offends you, maybe if you complain some more you can get this blog blocked for giving out people's secret spot???!!!!!
Im not going to get into this, it goes no where and people wonder why places like Sonoma or Yolla Bollys are becoming more and more crowded with people. Its actually good I guess, everyone can start going to these places and hammer the hell out of the animals then all of the old school easy to hunt spots will be better in the future because no one goes there anymore! Im out on this topic.
I hope you honestly don't think that because people do searches on the internet or on hunting forums is the reason why your public land honey holes have more people in them.
Have a wonderful christmas and a great new year. If you see a red jeep with the JHO sticker at L.S. stop by and say hi.
dear beastie,
Why are you on a hunting forum if you are so easily offended by someone saying the name of a hunting location that has already been mentioned in dozens of other posts? Besides it's not like the lake is a big secret anyway.
JNDeer - I don't know what the best email addres is to use for Lake Sonoma. I believe Ranger Joel is still at that location and has new responsibilities, but if you have his old contact info he should be able to forward your message to the right people. I personally would call their number and speak to the current hunting program coordinator.
We've gone over this 1000 times on the forum - we hunters need to police ourselves if we want any chance to keep access to the place. If there are bad apples in the barrel, identify them and throw them out immediately.
Ranger Joel moved on to a different position so now it's Ranger Joe that is handling the hunter issue's at the park, but if you call the visitor center there they will give you all the info you need.........tra
its a public place and i bet you all the hikers and bikers even know where all the honey holes are at the lake.....tra
