Can you hunt upper cottonwood creek off hwy-152? I just saw it last weekend and was thinking about taking a few days off of work next week. Anyone ever been there?

Yes, you can hunt there. I have hunted it in the past. There is some very good country there. The north west corner is the best area in my opinion. It borders private land on two sides. There is a pond there, and cover. My last trip in there, several years ago, I jumped 6 hogs. I was deer hunting though. Better check the regulations, at that time I thought you could only hunt during deer season, even if you are only hunting for pigs. Besides the main entrance, you can go in close to the top of the pass. Heading west bound about 1 mile before the weigh scales on top, on the right hand side, there is a concrete wash. You can park there and go in. I would try to scout it the day before.

be ready to walk(If you park closer to the Dinosaur turn off, it's not as bad), with a real low chance of seeing hogs. You might get lucky though, and catch some moving through.

Thanks for the info. I just really want to get outside and thought it might be a nice place to check out.
