These were found in Heard County GA in a food plot. both sets were laying on top of each other, I guess they were sparring when all the head gear fell off!

One is very nice...

Nice! That larger set looks like some pretty good main beams.

Congrats,Great find!! Can't say I ever found two sets together like that.I always wondered why I haven't or why I never found a set next to a rub, like the buck was rubbing tree for the last time with that set of antlers.
I watched two bull elk sparring together last spring(late April) up-state Pa. I thought for sure the next morning I'd find at least one shed if not all 4-none!!
Were they from this year?? I can only imagine the look on your face when you saw all 4 laying together.

Nice ones Jim! I wonder how they made them whiter further from the bases?

Excellent find. Very rare!

That's a gorgeous set there. Curious that both of those bucks with relatively easy climate and food plot quality food available dropped this early in the season. Maybe worn out from drilling does all fall? Very sweet.

Mailman,

I told you that we Ga boys have some decent deer!

Fellas I did not find them, only had the opportunity to take the pic, another club member found them last week. Yes boths sets were from this year and it surprised the heck out of us that they would be gone this early.

Very strange on the big set with the coloration. I bet he would have looked nice standing stock still on a foggy morning.

As far as the "white" coloration, I have fresh ones that are that color, dark at the base (pitch & bark) and white as heck on the beams & tines. They bleach out in the weather and sun as long as they carry them and after they're on the ground too. That still doesn't answer the question of why some bucks are very dark horned all the way out.
