Just to let all know, I went to court today, and my so called attorney from JAG was a now show. The judge did not want to hear my plea of not guilty if my attorney was not there. I tried calling him and email, but no response. FOX NEWS CALLED again, and now I just might talk. I have been real calm about this until now. Today in court two guys were hunting at FHL and one guy left his hog tags back at camp, and was pulled over on their way back to camp by the FHL game warden. He gave the one with out his tag,(LEFT BACK OUT CAMP) a ticket for hunting without a tag. The kid showed all the proof that he had a tag in camp and that he had bought tags well before the hunt. Judge finned him $500.00 and 3 years probation, and had to go to get booked. JUST A WARNNING FROM ME, FHL will bust you for any minnor thing, The best thing to do is keep away. For some reason they will pull anyone over for anything. After I try to get a new attorney and he gives me the ok to talk, I will tell whats going on here. I did get a call from my congresman on whats happenning at FHL, and he said he would investigate.I wish I could tell the whole thing but right now is not the time. By the way for everybody the FHL and DFG monitor JHO daily for what people are saying. I do have a few friends at FHL police that think this whole thing is a bunch of bull.
Thanks again for everybody's support, I still might need your help

Lowell,

Hang in there, and listen to the lawyer. If he says keep the lips zipped, you probably oughtta do it. I know your story is busting to get out, but hold on to it until you get the go ahead. It'd suck to sink your own ship, if you know what I mean.

Seriously, brutha... keep fighting the good fight, and don't let the bastards get you down.

I don't think I can add anymore to what was said. If they say to keep quiet,.....................do it. They say it for a reason. Again, if we can help don't hesitate to let us know about it. Let us know as much as you can but if we can be any help, say so. Good luck with it and FHL is on my blacklist............

Good Luck ! It seems to me that you're getting a royal screwing ! More and more it seems like pinheads weedle their way into positions of power just so they can mess with people. I hope it's just that and not part of a bigger plan to discourage hunting. From what I've researched in the posts here, it looks like you were just trying to be helpful and a nice guy.
A sad part is that my son has recently decided that he wants to become the supreme pig hunting maniac of the universe and FHL would have been a great place to hunt on the cheap (sort of). But who needs to put up with a hostile environment when the whole idea is to be having fun !
Good luck again !

Lowell,
I agree 100% with Speck but as soon as this thing busts out or comes to fruition,
I think you oughta scream from the roof tops.

I personally have decided not to hunt at FHL until somebody reins them in and teaches them to check thier egos.

I think JHO members should all band together and boycot FHL. I personally have told every hunter I know to stay away and why.

Standing by..........

Under their 'broad' interpretation of what constitutes a guide service, most of us would be convicted.

Case in point: My son obtained his license this past year, and I brought him afield with me. On each occassion I guided him to a spot where I thought he would find game. It may also be stated that I transported him to the location. I also hunted in the vicinity. I did not receive any direct, or monetary compensation. The only compensation I received was knowing that I helped my son prepare, locate game, and provided guidance to that end.

Did I violate a law? If so, wouldn't thousands of hunters be in violation or that interpretion of a guided hunt?

That's the kicker, if you receive compensation directly or indirectly, your guiding without a license. It's BS no matter how it's sliced. I think there's the ones who could abuse this law, if you had some property and charged someone to come out and kill some hogs for $100 a pop, no doubt, that's guiding without a license. But then there's someone who will take you to their secret spot, help you get an animal, may even skin it out for you. In return all they ask for is a dinner at their favorite steak house, the way I read it, that's guiding without a license as well, he got comped a steak dinner, that's BS!!

Lowell was doing nothing of the sort, he was just trying to help out the families on the base. And now, he has to go through all this crap because he was trying to help out. Some one's got a little too much time on their hands if you ask me.

Marty, did your son give you a hug or say thank you dad or say he loves you? If he did than I would say that could be considered compensation!! If so then your GUILTY and I think you need to turn yourself in to the authorities immediately.

Lowell,

Why don't you get a Paypal address and post your mailing address so we can get a defense fund going?
