I know a lot of people use scent blocker clothing or sprays to try and hide your scents. Back in November I used some whitetail cover scent called Deer Dander (strong stuff) while Hunting in Ohio. I have not really researched it much but I was curious to see if anybody here uses a deer cover scent while Pig Hunting, or if there is a Boar cover scent on the market. It might just be a little easier to smell like your game rather than trying to hide from it. Either way I think if those pigs catch wind of anything their not familar with they are going to high tail it out of there.

my personal belief is that if you wash your clothes with baking powder it works well. But that cover sent stuff is a lotta marketing bs. Your gonna lose if your downwind of a hog regardless.

Trust me when I say this: YOU DO NOT WANT TO SMELL LIKE A BOAR!

haha, yeah i am not sure how much fun it would be to have a 200+lb boar on your leg.

I was just curious of others opinions.

Does falling on your backside and landing in a cowpie count as cover scent? :bag-on-head:

Best and cheapest way to cover your scent is to stay down wind of the game. I do not believe that anything else sold or used out there will cover your scent. It may reduce your scent, but these critters have amazing noses. They pick up a molecule or two that don't smell familiar and you are busted.

scent covers are not 100% effective, but sure helps cut down a whole lot. especially where we hunt elk here in OR, where the wind swirls in every direction due to the thick jungle. a lot of times, we start by down wind but then it changes in a sec. i recommend using the "earthblend scent" which blends to all surroundings in all situations. basically smells just like dirt if you would say.

410 isn't referring to a boar riding your leg, he means the thing may attack mistaking you for another boar invading it's territory and trying to steal his ladies.
