Happy Holidays to all. I have a question for all the elk hunters. I have never hunted elk and would really like to get started. I have hunted deer for many years. I also have max points for elk in California and want to save them for a chance at a bull. I have hunted deer in various other states and seen some nice elk. I plan to start applying this year in 3-4 states to start building points. I would really like to try and harvest a cow or get a chance a bull while I build points. The question is what state would be good to apply for a cow tag to get myself started? Any any suggestions on areas to apply in the states of Colorado, Nevada, Utah or Wyoming? Theese are the states that I want to buid points in. I know I have some years before I can draw in any of theese states, just thought I get started. Thank You and God Bless.
