Cow Hunt

The elk in the wind rivers came down the last week of the season. Most of the local folks got in on the big heard the day before we got back up there, and scattered them out again. We were all able to fill our cow tags anyway. We had to do some walking in knee deep snow, and as allways saw more bulls than cows. Mine is the yearling not yet loaded in the truck. It's a long wait till next year.

I gotta say, after shooting my first elk this year, I was pretty stoked.

But now that I'm eating it every week, I'm totally hooked on elk hunting! Man, that's some good stuff!
