I am 59 years old and this my first time to hunt this area. unit 54 would like ideas on where to hunt opening morning and later.

Colorado, Gunnison area, unit 54. Also does it really matter if I am not there on opening morning. My hunting partner has business he has to take care of and we might not make it until the next day.
