CR hunt 29th and 30th

How are things looking for this weekends hunt at CR. Will the weather play a factor?

Looks like me, Lawdogg and Spencer5573 are going to try to make it for a one day hunt. We'll leave after work and camp at the tracks. Wilkens1 are you in?

we will be heading over about noon time on friday weather should be ok just real cold

We won't leave till about 5. Should be there about 8.

By looking at the weather channel im going prepared for rain looks like it might be a wet weekend. cda55 im leaving friday afternoon ill be camping at the tracks hope to see you there.

I'll be there in a few hours. Gotta pack still. We'll camp at the tracks too. Hey Lowell, if you have any color map books left can I pick up one of them this weekend. You only had black and white left last time I was there.

Hey - I got a pass to go tomorrow.

Tan 4x4 Ford F-250...I've never been, but I'm planning on checking out area's 7 and 4..

Spencer5573 backed out. Looks like only Lawdogg and me are going. Should be out of here in and hour.(I hope)

I'm back...I had to cut it short today - only 1/2 day hunt for me.

My first time so I don't know how the crowd was - but I got in line over on the other side of the freeway at just after 5 A.M...I cleared the DFG booth at 7 A.M.

I came home pig-less, but I was able to scout out a real good spot near the river. Tons of tracks, rubs and wallows. And there were also flocks of quail with no bird hunters over there..It was ridiculous - granny could have got a limit. Maybe even Speckmisser too if he had a good day. I guess I might have to invest in a field gun. Maybe Santa will bring me an Remington 1100.

Anyhoo - I did see (I'm pretty sure) a Bald Eagle (Hey Sarge - Am I seeing things?) That was pretty cool.

I'm looking forward to hitting it again in a couple of weeks.

I'm unpacking still and will post more later. I only did a 1/2 day hunt too. The DFG guy said there were 6 hogs checked in by noon.
