[Sorry if this in not exactly hunting, but I didn't see any other CA-specific forums]

I noticed that the Crossroads of the West is coming to the Cow Palace next weekend - is it worth going? It's an hour drive for me, but I'd like an opportunity to see some different guns, as well as pick up a bunch of misc items. I just wanted to check and see if the shows were still viable with all of CA's jacked up jaws - I'm worried many vendors would just not bother.

A friend of mine is also conidering buying a handgun and learning to shoot, so I was thinking it would be a good chance for him to see a lot of different styles of hand guns and get some idea for what would appeal to him. I don't want to drag him 1 hour away and pay an entrance fee to see 10 tables with less guns than are present at Reed's.

Thanks,
Brad

All the crossraods shows that I have been to in So Cal have all been busts. I don't know about up north but AZ was good.

The Crossroads of the West gun show is usually OK. It is not huge. But sometimes you get a good find.

The show is at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Although some of the shows aren't very productive (Orange County Fair Ground Shows), I have made some good purchases at the shows. There's always little odds and ends that I find. I have purchased a couple of excellent condition Milsurp rifles, Anza hunting knives, ammo boxes for storage and I find gun powder for as little as $16 a can. I look at it as a form of exercise (walking), for us older folks.
