Cuyamaca Lake

GunDoc's post about his mountain fishing trip got me to thinking it's time to head up also this weekend. I usually head up to Big Bear but I've been wanting to head to Cuyamaca for awhile now.

Anybody know Cuyamaca? I enjoy topwater bass fishing, wade fishing with a flyrod and poppers. I might rent a boat if there are any left.

If anybody else wants to come up just holler. I'm shooting for a Friday night or Saturday arrival and leave Sunday afternoon. Also want to shoot some pics of the Merriam's turkeys up there too if anybody has any current sightings.

Jesse, I haven't heard of much action up there besides trout, but now that the weather is heating up the topwater may perk up also.  Here is last weeks report
The last group of turkeys I saw were south of the lake on the west towards green valley falls, theres also a meadow that had about 40 or so does grazing in the late afternoon.  Have fun.
