Just tooooo much stuff happended to type it all. For starters, I've been back now for about 6 weeks. The camera I used for the hunt was accidentally grabbed by another hunter, mistaken for his own during his rushed packing to make his flight. So of course I have his. Something I dont notice untill I review the pics at home! Then I review the pics and wonder "WHO THE F%@K IS THIS!!" Well some emails with my guide and and emails to other hunters that had been in his camp and I tracked down the owner. We do a swap and thank god he didnt delete all the pics or fugg'em up in anyway.

As for the hunt...pops did great! We worked the draws for the bulls in the morning and in the evenings they would go onto these mesas to be in the wind so the flies would leave them alone. On the 3rd morning we work our way out of the draw onto the mesa and pops drops the hammer on a great bull at 215 yds. Right behind the shoulder with my Sako 75 Finnlight in 270WSM with 140gr Accubonds. Dad was as proud as I've ever seen him. Totally awsome trip. RG

Here is a decent bull raking the trees....

Congrats to both of you! Your Dad is in terrific shape, I sure hope I'll be half as healthy if I reach 80. Do tell more, where did you hunt, who were the guides, how do you rate their service, etc?

Glad you & your dad had a great trip! All I got to say is that bull is awesome! There's some country that kinda looks that way in UT, CO and NM...was it one of those 3 states? I'd guess either southern CO or northern NM.
