Hey all, I posted this in the blacktail section also, but it fits here as well:
Hey guys,
Here are a couple shots from my dad's "buck 'n boar" weekend adventure.
My dad was lucky enough to have hunted the Tejon Ranch last Wednesday through Saturday, October 22 - 26, 2008 for deer and boar.
He got this awesome buck on Thursday, October 23. Counting eyeguards, this is a 4 X 6 buck, double eyeguards on buck's left side. This was definately an older buck, although difficult to see in the pics this buck had awesome mass. The thick eyeguard on the buck's right side was broken off at the tip, as well as two of the points on the left. The buck was taken with a T/C Icon in .308, one shot one kill, the Barnes bullet passed clean through and took off the top of the deer's heart.
His boar was also taken with the Icon in .308, again, one shot one kill, and again the Barnes passed clean through.
Maybe my dad will post a reply and share the story of the hunt.
Hope you all have a great season,
Jason
