Daytona 500 Pictures

I have attached some photos of the Daytona 500 race from this last weekend. I was fortunate enought to drive a Corvette around the track a couple of times. I was able to get some pictures of the pit area a few minutes prior to the race. I drove Johnney Benson 09, and Dave Green 37, around the race track as part of driver introductions. I was using the Panasonic FZ10 camera. The camera has a 12X power optical zoom and a 4 power digital zoom (36X total zoom). It is a good outdoors camera. Let me know what you think of the pictures.

Stu, way cool!! I would love to attend the 500 sometime. I like all the pictures. I went to the race here in SoCal a couple of years ago, but I don't think it compares to Daytona.

But I have to say I really don't see what all the Nascar excitement is about though. Sorry guys, I have tried to like racing. Made efforts several times last year to sit down and get interested in it. Picked me a dirver, Ryan Newman since he was a new guy and pulled for him. Yet I Just don't get it...And I am a sports addict. I work with guys that this is all they talk about on Mondays. I did show one of them your pics and he was about to wet himself with envy

He always gets tickets for the Texas race coming up and another friend always goes to Talledaga twice a year. Me for some reason just can't find the excitement in watching cars go real fast around in a circle. Also I don't understand a sport that has it's superbowl right out of the shoot. I am sure it very exciting being there though as most sporting event are. OK Now you all can flame me not liking a good old southern sport.

Finally. G-hog thank you. Thats exactly how I feel but have been afraid to say anything. Every time you tell a NASCAR fan the you don't like NASCAR they treat you like your crazy. I like you have tried but just cant seem to come around. But I guess to each his own. I am a baseball nut and I know alot of people that find it a very boring game.

Don't know how or why, but since I first road that old Honda 50 I've been a race fan. My dad could never understand how I could watch the race on Wild World of Sports when it was finished the week before. Fast forward to present and my family is on our 5th year of infield camping at Fontana. It's hard to explain the attraction - kinda like trying to explain our love of hunting (or baseball).

My opinion only, use that photo of Robby Gordon for your next wipe. From the old days of SCORE - what a jerk

I like NASCAR racing, but ... I usually get my Sunday afternoon Baptistic nap during the race. IF Mark Martin is doing well I'll stay awake. If not, welll ... nappie time. Lately I've been getting some good naps in.

NASCAR is a great event to watch., fun for the whole family.
