LOL, Mark! I really need to talk to Don and see about getting some kind of renumeration for all this "repping" I've been doing!
Bret, maybe it seems pricey, but take it from someone who spent several years hunting public land before finally paying to play... if you want to kill pigs, it's a heck of a lot cheaper to do something like Tejon for one weekend than it is to spend several weekends hitting public land. Just my fuel costs for a few trips to public land would pay for a Tejon hunt and I have yet to pull the trigger on a pig on public land.
I realize that the kill is not the end-all, be-all of the hunt, and there's an awful lot of value in just getting out there. If the quantity of time afield is worth more to you than the quantity of animals taken, then public land may be more economical. But if you factor in shot opportunities and game sightings, then the equation definitely changes and a pay-to-play hunt is definitely a much better deal.[/b]
Started getting the gear together yesterday, can't wait. Who's going. Looks like this will be the only North side POR of the year.[/b]
What is the dividing line between North and South Tejon? Is it a road, creek, fenceline, etc? General description would help me sort it out.
Thanks in advance...[/b]
I thought the north side on this one was any weapon? Archery only isn't until next year (January, I think)?[/b]
