Has anyone talked to Deedy lately? I emailed her yesterday to try to get on the 200 dollar trespassing fee hunt. Trying to get in one last hunt before the season ends, but already got my license and tags for next season already lol.

We were there two weeks ago. The barley field was still green. No pig coming to it yet. It was a frustrated hunt for us. I busted all kinds of brush and found a few fresh signs here and there. I tried to track the pigs around but everytime the tracking gets hotter, I would run into the boundary fence. I did found 6 pigs but I didn't shoot them. I tried to catch them with my hands. Those little football size piglets were fun to stalk in the tall grass. I think their mom were in someone's freezer.

Maybe the barley should be golden brown now which the pigs like. They might be coming in to it.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm pretty sure the barley is gold by now, but I'll have to have a chat with her.

100% opportunity here last weekend. Big nice pigs.

Sorry if you were frustrated Live2Hunt.
Live2hunt's piggie's mom + 12 other big pigs were bedded up in one of our different fields (not in someone's freezer) away from the piglets. They were spotted all together the day before. So somehow they got split up.Pretty odd, because they weren't old enough to be weaned. At that point, we were even in the field guiding (which is not part of the deal for the semi-guided hunts), we worked hard that afternoon to find them for you guys, we did find them, they were just in the thickest nastiest stuff we've got here. The other hunter's in Live2Hunt's party chose to wait for them to come out of beds (which the pigs did not). If it were me, I'd have went into the beds and hunted them there instead of waiting. But I don't get poison oak.
Here's the hogs in the barley right now, but I want you guys to remember this is not a guaranteed guided hunt. But if I didn't have fresh sign + no pix on the game cams I wouldn't even book a hunt. The last 30 days has been a little tough though, the hogs were in the thick stuff pretty good. They're starting to come out in the open though now, out of food and probably water in the hidden springs it looks like to me.

Happy hunting to everyone- we hope to see you and remember to have fun hunting. It's not about the kill. Although I do love it when you guys score! I work as hard as I can to get you on 'em.

Rooster85,
Was that you in the white truck? We were there this weekend and had similar results. We hunted Saturday. Saw the pigs early, but they were gone by the time we made it up the hill. I agree with the great hunting and accomodations at Deedy's. I will certainly be going back.

Thank you very much for coming everyone, the weather was a little warm (111 here on Sat.) so these hogs are a little late coming into the field, 10 PM when it gets that hot. Ambush in the morning at first light. Now that it's cooled off, these hogs will move earlier in the evening, you'll have shot opportunity right at dusk. They'll hold better in the field once they get "hooked" on the barley too. Here's the photos from one of the game cams located at the spring in the barley. I'm really happy you all had a great time. I enjoyed having you all here, thank you for the coyote slaying Rooster.

Sounds like it's heating up down there!

I was over across 101 and had a pretty good hunt. Most of the pigs on the area we were hunting were still hitting the wild oats (beau coup wild oats over there) as the barley hasn't quite turned. Saw one monstrous herd (30+ animals) on the hillside, but at 500 yards on the run, not a shot opportunity.

Took a big sow from a bed on Monday morning, but saw very few hogs moving after first light.
