Anybody ever hear of or hunt with this outfit? I guess it's an Idian Tribe in eastern Nevada.

Thanks SD. I had that page bookmarked from someone on Jesse's that hunted it a couple of years ago. I've tried contacting them and haven't had much luck. The info on the website is over a year old. Toying with doing a cow hunt this year.

Some friends and I hunted with them last year. Are you still interested in some info on them?

We hunted the first week of November 2008. There were 3 dads with 3 youngsters ages 12, 14, 16 years old. The 3 kids all got their cows and one of the dads took a cow after the kids had finished. We saw elk every time we went out and put a stalk on elk every time we hunted except once (saw elk just not in a good place to get up on them).
We hunted in the morning then came back to camp for lunch then went back out for an evening hunt. We got 1 Monday evening, another Tuesday morning and the last kids Wednesday evening. The dad then got his Thursday morning and we left that evening.

We had planned on going back this year but they raised their prices this year from 600.00 to 1,000.00. This years price includes meals and a camping spot but that only cost us dads about 70.00 each last year and we just didn’t feel good about paying so much more for a hunt we had done the year before when most outfits are giving hunters a break to fill the spots.
<O:p></O:p>
It was a fun hunt and great experience for the kids as they each got to put the stalk on 6 or 7 groups of elk, as we all went on each stalk. It’s not easy getting 7 people with in 100 yards of a herd of elk but it was very exciting for everyone. We saw lots of bulls with some of them being pretty good ones. In fact every herd we tried to get up on had at least one bull and most had 2 or 3.

The country is beautiful and they have enough land you don’t run out of places to go. We had one guide for our group. He is a young guy that lives on the reservation and has most of his life so he knew where to look for the elk. We would drive to an area and glass for elk; if any were spotted we would try to make a move on them. We never made hunts it was always stalks, as we knew where the elk were before we took off.
<O:p></O:p>
They have a nice camping area with water sewer and power and a concrete slab to park your trailer if you bring one. Four of us stayed in our wall tent and 2 of us stayed in one of their trailers (don’t remember what they charged for that) the trailer wasn’t too nice. All the people we met there were very nice and easy to get along with.
<O:p></O:p>
Let me know if you need any more info and I’ll do my best to help you out.

Thanks for the info. Do you have contact info for them? I don't see anything on the website I have or the info I've tried using isn't getting me any response. I do agree I'm a little less interested in going with that price increase. Of course about any elk hunt now will run $1000 given gas and license costs now. I know Idaho runs around $600 just for licenses now. But still $600 was a bargain.

I will look for any # I may have but after we decided not to go I sort of lost track of their info sheet. I can tell you Mary Pete the contact person on their web site is no longer doing that job. I know this because I was able to get in contact with her this year after no one on the new contact list they sent out was getting back to me. I had a much easier time contacting them last year when she was still the contact person.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

I agree it is still a decent price but our group decided to burn our CA deer points and stay in state this year to try to save a few $ and get our son’s their first bucks. One of the dads from last years trip and his son will be hunting x3b with my son and I. We all have tags to fill.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Good luck if you decide to make the trip to the reservation. <o:p></o:p>

Finally got ahold of someone. Hunts are $1,000 and include lodging (their trailer or they have tents they can setup), a cook and guide. Season is Oct 2 - Dec. 31. They can book two hunt parties at a time, no number restriction on hunt party size.
