Thanks Chris. Yea I just recently registered to TPF just to try and get more feedback. It's hard to get many comments on the mega canon site and Jesse's is great, but there dont seem to be many of us posting photos, so I just joined all three. Perhaps you could tell me what I could have done in this pic to keep the clouds and the trees and cactus in focus. It was VERY dark when I took this and even then had to pp it. I'm new to all this and the more I can learn the better.
The shot looks pretty sharp to me. It looks like one of those African safari shots. The only thing I could think of to keep more in focus would be to go with a higher f/stop. What did you shoot this one at? Something up around f/18 and a longer exposure.
I had it on 4.0 at 400 ISO at 1/250th, focal length 280 on manual exposure. Should have set it up around 11 or higher I was just afraid I didnt have enough light. I probably should have pushed the iso up to 800 and tried at 11 or 13 huh?
