Last weekend I killed a nice Kentucky 7x6. It was rough scored at 315 although it has not dried yet for the official score. It also has two devil points. Are those counted as typical points or are they considered non-typical? If you count those it would be an 8x7.

Awesome Bull! The devil points I'm thinking of would probably be considered non-typical but would be counted in the overall point count. Were they off the brow tines? Do you go on Kentuckyhunting.net? I'm a member over there also. Been some nice bulls killed this year.

Devils points usually come off the main beam in the crotch between the burr, G-1 and sometimes the G-2. They are abnormal (non-typical) points and have to be at least one inch long and longer than they are wide (definition of a point). I say that because most devil points are really short and wide. It's rare for a devils point to be long enough to be scored. For scoring purposes, it has to qualify as a point to be counted as a point. If you're just bragging, you can count them as a point. Post up a pic of that bad boy!!! Congrats. Ed F

They are not long enough to count, if that is the case. I cant get the pics to post, but you can see them at kentuckyhunting.com It is listed as Harlan Co bull under the elk forum. I will try again later to post them, I think the file is too big.
