I know you're the man when it comes to California elk. I've seen how you have helped fellow hunter in teir questions and hunts. My name is Jerry and I drew the West Tinehama period 1Bull. I see the herds all the time when I drive upto Mammoth and have fished the creeks in that zone. Any advise or information would really be appreciated. Thank You.

Thanks Craig. I had 7 points and was about to try my luck with a cow tag but decided not to. Can't wait to get out there.

I do not think I am going to be that much help for on the ground information. Our unit biologist who works out there will have much better info than I will. His name is Mike Morrison and he is a good guy 760 872-1171. e-mail me and I will give you some general spots to check out that may be helpful and where people have been successful in the past but Mike sees the elk on a regular basis and he does the counts.
