I guess most of you are like me. Trying to use digital cameras to photograph wildlife. It seems every manufacturer offers a 1.6 to a 2.0 times telephoto adapter lens. Don't you wish that the manufacturers would settle on 1 or 2 diameters of lenses so the lens makers would be more willing to offer 5 or 6 time telephoto lenses.

Man that would be awesome. A 6x in front of my 10x, I could count the ticks on a deer at 500 yds. I would be happy with just a 3x if i could find one. Abe

Is that 10x Optical or Digital Zoom?

My Sony F717 is part digital zoom and part Optical. You get a far better image if you keep it away from that digital zoom. On mine, there is a line on the zoom meter in the viewfinder. To the right of that line is digital zoom. I try to keep it pretty close to that line. All the way down does make a lot of difference.

I just got the olympus c740 wich has 10x optical. Thing thing is awesome. My digital experience is limited to my d380's in game cams, so i dont have alot of experience with them. I am really impressed with it so far.
