Hey there dirtpoor,

I'm hoping your cow elk hunt went well. Looking forward to hearing the story and pics.

Sorry for the slow response, being the low tech redneck that I am it took me forever to get my password reset here. the hunt was a complete bust , 1st day 6in snow 10 degrees, by noon it was 44 degrees and I walked out about 3 miles with mud ELEPHANT FEET, a pound of mud on each boot, 2nd day, o degrees 1 1/2 to 3 ft of snow perfect hunting conditions but not even a track, long story short same deal the next 3 day's so I gave up and went home on tues, the elk eventually migrated into the area on thur and the guys with snowmobiles killed elk, in fairness to the outfitter this is the first year in a long time that the elk weren't already down to the road in jan, Bill

Sorry to hear that...too bad the outfitter didn't call you to tell you not to come out until the herd came down. Was it Rob Snow?

yeah, that was Rob, I actually put the hunt off for 3 week's but still was a couple of days short, I could have hunted until end of season but I got discouraged and bored ( if you've ever spent any time in coalville you'll know what I mean ) I'll probably book with Rob next year and bring a snowmobile, this macho hunting only on foot is killing me lol
