HANNIBAL, Mo.—The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) encourages families to discover nature by catfishing. Families are invited to a two-day catfish camp at Ted Shanks Conservation Area (CA). The camp begins at 1 p.m. on Aug. 22 with presentations on catfish biology and regulations. Participants will spend Saturday evening on the Mississippi River setting lines, and will check the lines Sunday morning. Camping and fishing are available Saturday evening for those who are interested.
