WTG to the Oregon State Police!

You gotta love it though. The first comments to the article was...

well, glad to see all that time and money is being spent on capturing these dangerous fugitives...in these hard economic times, I would think that police and wildlife should focus on border patrol, violent crimes investigation and less on someone feeding themselves and their families. just my $0.02.

Guess the jerk missed this part of the article...
The Oregon Hunters Association and the Oregon Federation for North American Wild Sheep raised $25,000 to pay for the DNA pilot project.

He's probably one of the poachers...

Also, last time I checked, Oregon didn't have a border with either Mexico or Canada, he must mean keeping all us Californians out...

This is a great thing for all who enjoy the outdoors, esp. hunters.

They probably, found a headless carcass, and when the DFG got their they took some tissue samples and had it on file. Then once a couple suspects arose they took hair samples from the mount or if that had not happened yet some other kinds of samples from the entact head?

Either way, great tech.

However, if we dont have more stiff penalties for out right poaching it will continue, as it does now. It may make a few poachers think twice, but it will still be the empidemic we see now a days.
