Can anybody help me out with a resource or two on how to train dogs to track hogs?

Run them with dogs that know what they are doing in an area with tons of hogs.

Nothing like getting a younger one with a seasoned hunter- if they have what it takes they become really good trackers in just a few trips.

Get some pig skin and work with the dog in finding the skin that's been hidden/ dragged through the brush. You want you dog to key in on Pig, not the other50 species of life in the woods like skunks, turkeys, & deer.

Run the with seasoned dog was my experience. The other way is how they do in texas. start them on a 60 lb piglet which isn't allowed here in Calif.

Thanks for the input guys. For now I am going to try the pig skin trick and see how that goes. Maybe I'll get lucky and meet someone that runs dogs and can get her out with some experienced dogs.
