An official with the Resources Agency attending the South Coast MLPA meeting just confirmed that DFG Director Don Koch has resigned for personal reasons. A from-the-ranks director, Koch took over for Ryan Broddrick in August of 2007. The DFG's representatives revealed many feasibility problems with the proposals being considered by the Blue Ribbon Task Force at the meeting in Long Beach, but the official said Koch's resignation was unrelated and was "expected for some time."
