Doves in 45 Days

I took a summer job as a field checker and it has been awesome for scouting birds. They are everywhere. And yes there seems to be more Eurasian Doves this year. I am chomping at the bit for the season to get kicked off. Also I have been scouting Quail and Chukar and the report is it's gonna be a good year on the west side of the central valley. I actually came across a covey of chukars in the road and they were too fat to fly.

7 Days and some change. I am ready. Tune up shoot this weekend with the Bro's. Thursday it's on! I have the entire Naval Air Station to hunt.

The migration has started for sure..lol Saw lots of doves yesterday and the temps are perfect here for the opener of dove season. No thunderstorms or weird weather predicted so it should be a very very good shoot...

Only four more wake ups and it is here...................The start of hunting season as we know it.... Only 33 more days until the early goose season and 38 until Canada for 11 days and 52 until the duck season opener Good luck on Thursday fellas....
