Took the old gal out with the cow this time, it's great to help a neighbor out.

affirmitve... the cow puts the hurt to um something fierce!!!! im buttering the neighbor up to let me buck hunt his place this year..fiqure if i grease him with a hog or 10... he'll give me the green light, and man hes got some dandys..as for the hogs
..he could care less.. but there is something about landowners and thier deer..
its a sacred thing i guess..he enjoys seeing the big racked bucks on his place..
im hoping to enjoy one of those on my wall this year:chainsaw:

How's the E-tip peform compared to Barnes?

HARD TO TELL DAN, EXTREMELY CLOSE QUARTERS..60 YDS MAYBE,ZIPPED ON THRU LIKE A FIELD TIP..IM O.K WITH THE ACCURACY WITH BOTH THE BARNES AND THE E-TIPS..JUST NOT DIGGING THE FACT THAT THEY ARE NOT OPENING UP LIKE I WOULD LIKE..APPLES AND ORANGES I GUESS..

I bought a T3 and switched to E-tips and holy smokes, the accuracy is back..... but $45 a box? I'm hoping to give 'em a workout at Tejon in May. Can't be any worse then Barnes as far as over penetration.

I'm afraid you're gonna have to design your own bullet, man. If the ETips and the Barnes aren't doing it for ya... well, Hornady's bullet should be on the shelves by summer, but it should be real similar to the ETip.

Grease away and hope you get to hook up with a buck on that property. I am in the same boat, landowner does not want the deer touched, and could care less about the hogs and yotes. The owner sure loves his deer, asked if I find any sheds to pass them his way as well. But said any hog skulls you find are yours, and did just that last weekend.

How big was hole coming out. I have some Barnes x bullet loaded for my 270. I found out backing off from the highest charge in proves groups.Right now I am using 55.5 grn of H4350 win pr Win brass. 1/12 groups at 100 yards.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ig-laughing:

Shoot-it, from what I've learned so far, driving the copper or the ETips a bit below max velocity seems to improve both accuracy and terminal performance.

I just picked up some E-tip from wally world here in Gilroy for my old Remington 788/308cal this rilfe is a tack driver, My wife has a 788 in 243 it very accurate.
again Job well done on that pig.

I just hope it stops raining on weekends so I can go up those hills and go hunting. I got some 1/2 groups with 54 gr I should have used that load. My next batch will be with the e tips.:smiley-mouse: I love the dancing mouse :lol bashing sign:
