East Park Tule Elk

Both hunters at East Park harvested some really nice elk the other day. I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the two guys who showed up with an elk decoy and camera on the first day of the hunt and said they were scouting it for when they did get drawn (what were you thinking?, if you knew about the hunt then you should have known when it was occuring). You are lucky you were not walking around during the antlerless hunt with a cow decoy. Luckily the hunters were able to take very nice animals despite the interference of those two guys.

That's so random Joe... Don't know if you remember or not from when we talked but when I got my cow there in 2007, the day of my hunt, there were two guys out there "scouting" and "just playing with the Bulls" and taking pics etc. just in case they ever got drawn... It did effect my hunt at that time but I redirected and connected nonetheless. WTF is wrong some people?

Can't wait to see some pics of these Bulls!

P.S. I think the word "thank" in Joe's "THANK YOU" could be substituted for some other shorter 4 letter word...

When I had that tag, I was scouting and it was 3 days before my hunt when I heard target practice going on inside the hunt area. I went to check it out and there were some deer hunters camped inside. They came in by boat. I told them to leave and that they were tresspassing. They were Russians and they played dumb and acted like they didn't understand english. I told them that I was calling the sheriff and I held up my wrist together to mimick being handcuffed. I think they broke camp in record time as they zoomed out of there in their boat.
