I took these north of San Simeon last week on vacation. These are all wild elephant seals that migrate to this beach every year to breed, after which the males stay behind and molt. Being not more than 30 feet from these animals in the wild is an awesome experience.

Nice shots Trent. Looks like some of the seals are also shedding the winter coat. That drive along the coast is a beautiful one. The wife and I went up to Monterey a few years back and found a group of seals on the beach close to the Monterey Bay Aquairium. On one of the other tourist spots I found a seal with a tracking device on it's back. I'll have to find the picture and post it.
