Not sure how many of you are aware, but Arizona has moved up it's 2007 antelope and elk apps. They are due by Feb. 13! Got mine in last night, and you can do it on line this year.

Yep...will do asap. Don't have much hope of getting drawn though. If I don't draw this year I will probably use my points on the best hunt I can draw next year and get outta AZ. It's getting too expensive to apply for us non-residents.

Deerslam,
Have you looked into Colorado or Idaho? If, like me you are only interested in the meat and the experience those are good places too(a longer drive of course).

KP, what are you putting in for? I put in again for antlerless. Better chance of getting drawn and besides, we don't have room for antlers in our small house, also my wife does not want any. Although she really enjoyed helping get my elk in 06 (she used the hoochie mamma call to stop the elk I shot). Ands she loves the sausage and salami.

I put in for anterless as well. I'd love to have a bull tag someday, but with no bonus points I really don't have a shot at this point.

I also put in for antelope, as I have 3 bonus points.

Not true! Everybody gets at least one random number from the computer and if it's a really low # you could draw your dream hunt and it would be a waste to spend that # on a cow. Make your first choice assuming that you'll get a low # and then your 2nd choice assuming you'll get a high #
I have a friend in Yuma that drew an early rifle tag and he had few points, and then the following year drew an archery bull tag after having used up all his bonus points.
Good luck!

I understand what you're saying, but I play the odds and most bull tags have draw odds of less then 20%. So with a few bonus points, you do raise your chances of obtaining a highly coveted tag. I haven't given up on a bull tag, just not this year.

If I was just after the meat I sure wouldn't be trying to draw a tag in AZ. I love the outdoor experience and I do plenty of hunts for that reason but certain hunts I'm looking for "HEAD GEAR".
