Elk in Santa Clara

I heard a rumer that the DFG was going to more of a zone type system rather than the specific hunt type system...I don't know anything more than a rumer. Oh well...I guess I will find out when the regs come out. When do they come out by the way???

No zone system changes, but basically the hunts are zones and I hope to eventually have the state divided up into elk zones/hunts. With the realization that not every zone will have elk in it, but if it did get elk in the future it would already be set up to have a hunt. Most of the changes are an increase in tags or opportunities but there are some decreases in tags for certain hunts (elk numbers low or lower than before).
