While I was at the RMEF convention in Reno I decided to have some jewelry made out of my elk ivories. I'm not a ring person so I had a pendant made and the made a leather necklace for it. Here it is. It was my first Elk.

I am surprised that no one else has responded to this post...I think that is an excellent use of elk ivory and I will look into making something similar

I have that same design on a ring called the royal plus I also had rings made for my wife and 2 daughters as something to remember me and my passion with. Beautiful pendant .

That design was originally a tie tac. I don't use them so I asked the Jeweler to make a pendant.

It is very nice! Talented jeweler for sure.


...I have no idea what I will do with my elk ivory yet other than to grow my collection of it as fast as legally (and financially) possible.

I saw a guy at another jeweler's booth with a gallon sized freezer bag about half full of ivories. He was picking out the best colored ones. I was jealous of all those ivories.
