I had this made for my wife's birthday which was today. The ivory is out of a young heifer I tagged this Fall. I wanted to use a tooth out of a big bull she took a few years ago but the shape and color of this crown just looked so much better. Wilderness Mint up near Seattle did the work.

Hey,

Don't go showing jewelry on this site...what happens if someone's girlfriend or wife walks by and says, "What's that?" and you try to cover by saying "nuttin", at which point, you get shoved to the side and boom. It starts, "Why don't you bring me back one of those!"....

You are dealing with explosives. Man, be more careful.

They were selling Elk Ivory Jewelry in Idaho City. I averted my eyes. And so this didn't happen and I wasn't here, if anybody asks.
Over & Out.

I'm just trying to help out. Here's a way to make a wife happy by going elk hunting. Tough job but somebody's got to do it!

"Honey, I'll be gone a couple weeks shopping for jewelery!"

Now my wife sends me to Wyoming with old gold jewelery to melt down as scrap gold....She gets it back in a piece of jewelery she likes...

I'll bet there is a lot of jewlery someone could pick up at garage sales at a bargain and have a custom jewler do something with....

That's a good idea going to garage sales. Good way to get the cost down. That outfit you use does really nice work.

Here's the pendant I had made for me. Had one made for the wife but don't have a pic right now. I do like the idea of telling her I'm going on a two week jewelry shopping trip! The wife liked the idea about getting some jewelry out of the deal. Says she needs some ear rings now! Looks like I'll just have to go kill another elk!

I've done the ivories off of my bulls and they made great gifts. It does sort of take the edge off the trip, when you can promise to bring home some meat, a great hide, AND some jewelry!

That's some sharp lookin' jewelry!

I'm sitting on ivories and might have one set worked into a watch band. Another set is earmarked for a pair of earrings. Not sure if that's what I'll do or not.
