I hiked this area in montana 6 times while I was there and I found the matching busted brow tines 6's on the first day and nothing on the second day. On the second trip up there there was no snow on the ground. We scoured the area that day and found nothing. Than night a wet storm dumped a foot and a half. The next morning we thought we go follow around some tracks to see what they were doing. to my supprise I spotted this horn with my binocs from a ways out. I didnt think it was an elk horn until I got closer. I found 6 shed in this area alone this year. Ive found muley sheds on end and whitetail sheds on end but never elk. The elk are wintering in the weirdest spot this year they are coming down to the open valleys where the muleys and whities are hangin. My dads girlfriend has the matching side to this one, hopefully she will hand it over, it stands perfect for a coffee table. Happy shed hunting.
