I might just asked the judge on my next f-up to give me community service with cal-trans to help fix these roads asap

I'm just hoping and praying that the road I need to get up in the Greenhorns isn't like this. 🙏

Ouch that's going to take some time to repair. Greenhorns used to be a great spot to hunt.

Yeah it is. That's why I'm hoping all the roads in the Greenhorns are still intact. There's a few washouts on Blue Ridge Rd too.

So I spoke to my buddy and unfortunately the roads will still be closed (190) for a while unless you own property up there which he does. So we are good for deer season but I was hoping to scout before then around July up there. Hopefully Cal-trans at least opens up the roads by then

You need to make sure that you're not searching or scouting their summer range while the deer are still in winter range. If you're up high and don't see deer, or fresh sign you'll need to drop elevation. Just like the deer gradually migrate down in the winter....They gradually migrate up in the summer.
An indicator is when there are forest fires in a certain elevation. Then you'll have an idea snow isn't covering their food. Obviously slope/aspect may come into play. When DOT/CHP say passes at Yosemite may not open all year, you may have to scout lower elevation.
