Epic rafting season a go for Tuolumne River

California’s No. 1 whitewater river – The Mighty T, the Tuolumne River – is in near-perfect shape right now as the rafting season launches for summer. Better yet, because of helpful decisions by the San Francisco Water Department, it will stay that way through Labor Day. “The word is getting out and my bookings on the Tuolumne are the best in 10 years,” said Marty McDonnell, a legendary figure on “The T” and the owner of Sierra Mac River Rafting Trips out of Groveland.
