Awesome, thanks for the information. I'm wondering how the hog hunting will be in March. I've never really gotten into the pigs yet. Most of my hunting deals with deer and ducks.

Wife and I hunted with them in 2009 - we both were successful on the first morning. I would use them again.

Trip Results

The trip went well. The weather was uncooperative. Two of four hunters shot pigs. The other two missed. The guide was knowledgeable and put in some good work with a good attitude. Real pretty country and tons of pig sign.

Tim had me back this last weekend at my request. I had hunted with his guys last March and was rained out on the second day of the hunt. We started at about 6am. I was hunting with a friend and thought it would be better to split up. I'm not sure that this was a good idea. Every time I have seen pigs they are in small herds and shooting two (one per person) would not be an issue (Give em the count down). Tim dropped us off on some spots where he had recently seen hogs or hogs had been killed/shot at and missed/saw but not shot at.

The evening before had a bright moon. No doubt the pigs were active at night. The morning hunt was uneventful yet I did see a lot of deer, some up really close and some nice bugs who were stubbing out. A nice one was lying down about 120 away from a spot we were galssing from and could care less about us.

We took a brak for the mid daya t about 12, had lunch and shot the bull for about 2 hours which I was fine with. Tim os good company and the middle of the day is pretty uneventful.

About 4pm we start our mid afternoon hunt. By now Tim had told us that he thought the evening would be better based on the moon adn his recent kills in the evening. I walked down an old road and took a spot up wind from a mud hole. About 45 min later a set of sows wandered down and I took a shot at about 120. I got Tim on the phone and he came down from where my partner was and we dragged her out. Tim did a great job gutting and skinning out the hog for me. We will be back next year for sure for some good hunting and good laughs with a good guide.

Going back again in May of 2012. Looking forward to it and will keep this board posted with the results. Anyone have any new experiences to share?
