A good friend of mine works at Carters Country in Pasadena. When I have the money to buy a new gun he usually cuts me a pretty decent deal. I told him though that after I visited Gander Mountain that he may now have some competition.

Do you visit the Carters Country on I-10?

By the way, this is what they send you. Plus you get another 85 page book this is strictly dove hunting property with maybe 10 waterfowl properties.

All the maps are very detailed as far as roads, boat ramps, check stations and what ares you can and can't hunt but don't have a topo information.

Bzz... Thanks for correcting me.. I had no idea that we had that much public land.. I have NEVER been on it and was not aware.... I guess I just figured that we do not have that much compared with California...

I am tripping over the turkeys out at our place, get your bags packed.....

Bzzz,
It is the Carter's Country off Fwy. 59. It is on the right side of Fwy. 59 going north. I read somewhere(probably the Texas hunting/fishing booklet) that Texas is 98% private property, but Tx is so big that just 2% will be gazillion acres. That Fwy 59 has boomed in construction/development like crazy all the way south past Sugarland in the few years(year 2000) that I have gone there. Your business must be booming. God Bless. larrysogla.
