Great teeth, has to be a younger boar in my opinion, hard to have lived a long time as a pig and not bust a tusk. Great teeth, take them things out and use them as a knife.

Claw hammer? If you ment means of take that would be a no. 270winchester as he came down a hill. Going to be a wall hanger not a knife for this one. If he's young I'm going to spend more time looking for pops:)

A hog's teeth don't stop growing. If they break 'em....they just grow out again.

Nice looking boar though.

He sure is happy with it and I have to say the teeth on that thing were sharp as a razor down the whole length. Dog killer he was for sure. Good thing he took a 130 gr Cor-lok. Hate to have run into him in the wrong situation.

He is going to mount the head by the way and he was 191lbs on the hook guts and all. I'll bet somewhere there is a dead dog or two to account for thoose holes in the ears.

You might be right, especially with him just being 150 lbs or so field dressed weight. Fast and squirrely. You know, I'd take a boar with teeth like that over catching him a couple of years earlier when he only had 1-1/2 to 2" of teeth....as far as getting the dogs whacked up. Those smaller ones are the real dog killers. Once they start getting over 3 inches they tend not to whack the dogs up quite so bad....but the dogs don't seem to mind testing that theory either way.

Yep, if you ever want to know about hogs, check some texas sites, those boys have more hogs, and hunt more hogs, than anywhere around.

I have seen two dogs die of wounds from hogs, one reason I won't ever hunt behind dogs again, sad to see a guy say goodbye to a good dog.
