Family Rabbit Hunt Offered as Part of Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Program

New Workshop Invites Families to a Day in the Great Outdoors

PORTLAND – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, along with Mary's Peak Hound Club, invites you and your family to join us at EE Wilson Wildlife Area , near Corvallis, Saturday, Jan 11, 2003, for a Family Rabbit Hunt workshop.

The workshop will teach the basics of rabbit hunting, including equipment needs, ethics, safety and clothing. You'll have the opportunity to improve your shotgun skills, both on the range and while participating in an actual field hunting experience. Members of Mary's Peak Hound Club also will offer you the opportunity to participate in a United Kennel Club field trial as part of the workshop.

The workshop registration fee is $50 and will cover the cost for one adult and one child to attend. Additional children and adults may attend as part of the same group for $10 per person. The minimum age for participating in the workshop is 12. Breakfast, lunch and all equipment (including dogs) will be provided.
