We're doing it wrong; we've been going up into the mountains. Maybe we
should be hunting in the subdivisions!!!!

I keep coming back to see this. That is so cool. Would it be considered poaching if you hit one with your riding lawnmower???

I dunno, Mulies... I'd be more worried about one hitting you back!

Truly cool pix, though. I'd have to change my britches if looked out the living room window to see something like that in the yard!

You made me choke on my lunch reading that. Last week my riding lawnmower threw the center blade and would have done the job nicely.

That's just not right! Remember when another fella, I believe on the bowhunting forum, tattooed a hog in his yard in Florida? If only Superduty could fling an arrow....

Rocksprings Wyoming, not here. My nearest neighbor isn't anything near that close. I do have quality mulies every day, I even had a nice buck antelope run through my property recently but no elk. Sad thing is the ranchers around here consider the Rubies as a elk free zone not that it is but Very recently I found 12 to 15 elk no more than 5 miles from my house. I cut the spikes off one of them. I originally thought someone had dumped them there before talking to one of my friends who has lived here his whole life. He told me it's not the first time or the last. He asked me if I had ever shot such a large animal and if I had then I would know just how hard it is to load something like that let along load it to dump the whole thing. It made sense and a bad taste in my mouth all at the same time. He said where I found them is where they were shot. Kind of a crappy story but that is what came to mind. We do have very nice elk herds not more than 50miles from me that don't get the local rancher treatment. My uncle drew a bull elk tag this season in the Jawbridge area 7 so I'm pretty stocked to help him out.

Yeah, when I was up there early70's the locals were that way about elk and deer. That's why I was wondering if it was Ruby Ranch area, there wasn't a elk any where on "My Property", I was told as I looked out over hundreds of thousands of acres of BLM land. I guess they raise subdivisions now on public land. Hank
