February 22 issue of Lone Star Outdoor News available
2/22/08
DALLAS—The February 22 issue of Lone Star Outdoor News is available for downloading Friday at www.lonestaroutdoornews.com.
Specked trout take center stage in the Feb. 22 issue, with stories on the often-overlooked deep mud flats for big specks, favorite old and new baits, and a photo essay depicting an eye-popping topwater strike.
Eight trophy whitetail mounts were stolen from Texas deer breeder Bill Martindale’s ranch in January, including the mount of Twisty, a 253 B&C breeder buck. Martindale hopes an outdoorsman will recognize the stolen mounts if and when they are offered for sale.
Shoot-through mesh is gaining favor with archers, especially in South and West Texas, where ground blind hunting is necessary. Most archers are believers, but not all.
Lone Star Outdoor News covers hunting and fishing news across Texas. It brings the most credible and timely information to sportsmen and women two times per month. The print version is 40,000 copies. With online and print, we reach more than 250,000 readers per month.
