This guy (or gal), didn't lift the tail to check, made us his new friends from the first day in camp before season opened this year in X-7A. He/ she hopped in our laps on the first day once we sat down to relax after setting up our camp. We nick-named him Cujo because he would nip our fingers if we didn't feed him. By the end of the trip, he would respond to his name and kept all the other squirrels out of our camp, actually kind of nice not having to chase the others from trying to get into our camp boxes, Cujo did it for us.
