Has anyone used these bullets on Elk or Mulies? What is your opinion of the terminal effect on game, and would you use them again?

I bought a box of the 180 gn Fusion mainly due to the extremely reasonable price. I am in for the third season draw for Buck in CO. this November, and we will be buying Elk tags as well, and would like some feedback from someone who has taken game with them.

Thanks

I would think you'd be okay with 180 grain Fusion bullet in 30 cal. for elk/deer. You might even get better terminal performance on elk than with one of the copper solid bullets (e.g. Triple Shock et. al.) that are geared for extreme penetration & wound channel as opposed to balancing hydrostatic shock with penetration.

My son shot a cow elk with a 300 WSM using Fusions. First shot she was dead on her feet, second shot dead on the ground, dropped like a ton of bricks. They were 180 grainers. One was recovered and it weighed 153 grains.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll give them a go. The price is so reasonable I could not pass it up, but I don't want to sacrifice terminal performance for cheap.
