Saturday morning is best
Yes, I always check in early on Friday afternoon. Sometimes, after checking in I drive back to San Jose State to pickup my boy, and then we drive directly back to Liggett. We stop at Salinas for IN-N-OUT, or maybe Denny's in King City for dinner. First light on Saturday morning is best. I get to my area plenty early, turn on the gas furnace, and let things settle down before heading out at first light. When the sun peeks up over the horizon on Saturday morning it's pretty much over with, unless you know where they are bedded down for the day.
